Born into a world of equestrian enthusiasts, Charlotte has always shared her family's passion for horses. She grew up riding at her grandparents’ Deeridge Farm, and while ponies kickstarted her interest in the sport, it wasn’t until she turned 11 and starting riding with Missy Clark and the North Run Farm team that she really got into the sport. Over the years with Missy, Charlotte collected a number of accolades for junior riders including Devon’s R.W. “Ronnie” Mutch Equitation Championship twice, Leading Junior Jumper Rider at the Devon Horse Show, a gold medal at Prix Des States in 2011, placing top-three at Medal Finals and Maclay finals, a U25 Gold Medal in Salzburg in 2012 and much more.
Following her graduation from the University of Miami, Charlotte moved to Boston to work in the ‘real world’. After getting into a rhythm of life away from Wellington and the show scene, Charlotte soon realized how much she missed the sport and wanted to pursue her career alongside her family in the creation of North Star Sport Horses. In 2016, she moved back to Wellington to commit to the family business and since then has continued to excel at the top level of the sport. In 2022, she was selected to represent the United States in her first senior Nations Cup competition, and since then has represented her home country a total of three more times. Later on in 2022, she competed in her first 5* competition at the Longines Royal International Horse Show at Hickstead. Showing with Roy, Ella and Merve, Charlotte placed in numerous classes, marking her position at the highest level of the sport. 2022 continued to bring a lot of success for Charlotte and the North Star team, as she competed at the Dublin Horse Show for the first time, in addition to winning her first ranking class and international Grand Prix win in Aiken.
Her goals for the future of her career and North Star Sport Horses is to continue representing the United States during team competition, produce high quality horses for all three rings in their boutique sales operation, and watch the success of their young horses as they grow older, whether that be in her string or with other riders.
Charlotte is proud to be partnered with these brands that all have one thing in common:
love for horses
