Charlotte Jacobs

Born into a world of equestrian enthusiasts, Charlotte has always shared her family's passion for horses. She grew up riding at her grandparents’ Deeridge Farm, and while ponies kickstarted her interest in the sport, it wasn’t until she turned 11 and started in the jumpers & equitation that she found her stride.

Matthew Calderwood

Born in Ireland, Matt has always been around horses on his family farm. However, what began as riding ponies at home for fun would quickly turn into a career for Matt. His natural horsemanship and keen eye would see him quickly move up from a groom to sought after manager and rider for the biggest names in show jumping.

Lou & Joan Jacobs

North Star Sport Horses was officially founded in 2017, after Joan and Lou Jacobs had longed dreamed of creating a facility that could simultaneously accommodate the needs of raising and developing young horses, while also catering to show jumpers at the highest level of the sport.
